Position : Backend Engineer (Core Java, AI)(3 Months Contract)Overall/Total Experience : 2 - 6 yearsLocation : Bengaluru/Chennai/Ahmedabad (Only for local candidates)Working Days : 5 Days Working from OfficeNotice Period Requirement : Immediate Joiners Only (within a week)Client's Company Size : Mid-SizedRoles & Responsibilities : - Design and implement moderately complex features with minimal supervision.- Contribute to system design discussions and provide input on architecture decisions.- Actively use AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development - scaffolding features, writing tests, reviewing code, and debugging.- Leverage AI tooling to iterate quickly, reduce boilerplate, and ship production-ready code at higher velocity.- Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and adherence to team standards before merging.- Debug and troubleshoot efficiently, with well-reasoned https://jobeax.com/link/m9OhL0q8I4P1qguK Requirements : - Strong Backend Software Engineer Profile with strong Core Java expertise.- Must have 2+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience.- Must be able to design and implement moderately complex features with minimal supervision, and contribute to system design and architecture discussions.- Must be comfortable owning business-critical production components - maintaining connectors, handling customer escalations, security fixes, bug fixes, and building new features end-to-end.- Must have strong, current Core Java depth with solid, clear coding fundamentals.- Must have strong core backend engineering fundamentals and experience with scalable systems.- Must have microservices experience.- Must have demonstrated, hands-on use of AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as a core part of the daily workflow.- Must be able to write precise, effective prompts for production-quality output, decompose tasks so AI assistance is effective, and critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and standards before merging.- Must come from a product company background (B2B SaaS or B2C both acceptable).Contract Details : - This is a 3-month contract role.
