Position: VMC Operator 
Experience: 2–5 Years

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor VMC machines for precision machining operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machining instructions.
• Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and other machining operations.
• Set up jobs, fixtures, tools, and workpieces as per production requirements.
• Understand and perform basic CNC program editing and tool offset corrections.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure product quality as per drawings.
• Identify machining defects and troubleshoot minor machine or tooling issues.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
• Follow production targets, safety procedures, and 5S practices.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience as a VMC Operator in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
• Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations and job setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.
• Knowledge of tool offsets, work offsets, and tool wear compensation.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or similar systems.
• Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and meet production targets.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in precision machining, component manufacturing, or CNC job work.
• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
• Responsible, quality-conscious, and safety-oriented.
