About the job

We are looking for a full-time video editor to take long-form video footage and turn it into polished vertical short-form content (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok). The primary focus of this position is volume, speed, and clean presentation- taking existing footage, extracting key moments, reformatting them for 9:16 vertical displays, and applying final manual polishing.

Key Responsibilities:

2. Reformat horizontal video into vertical (9:16) format for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok.
3. Handle cutting, dynamic framing, pacing, and basic sound effects to keep the final output engaging.
4. Generate and place accurate, readable on-screen subtitles and captions.
5. Export, review, and deliver finished vertical videos daily according to output targets.
6. Implement feedback and adjustments quickly while keeping project files and raw footage organized.

Required skills & setup:

1. Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut (PC version).
2. A reliable desktop or laptop setup with a stable internet connection capable of downloading large files and rendering daily video batches without hardware bottlenecks.
3. Understanding of vertical video formatting, safe zones, and knowledge of basic pacing/retention/attention psychology.

Nice-to-have skills:

1. Familiarity with transcription tools, automated captioning, or AI-assisted utilities that speed up the editing and formatting process.
2. Basic understanding of social media trends and formats across platforms.
