Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Testing Engineer to perform electrical testing of Current Transformers (CTs) and Potential Transformers (PTs) in accordance with applicable IS/IEC standards and company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical testing of CTs and PTs as per approved testing procedures.
• Conduct ratio, polarity, insulation resistance (IR), winding resistance and excitation/knee-point tests, as applicable to the product.
• Perform accuracy and burden tests using suitable testing equipment.
• Carry out power-frequency withstand voltage and other dielectric tests as per applicable standards.
• Verify nameplate details, terminal markings, wiring connections and test specifications.
• Operate and maintain electrical testing instruments and equipment.
• Prepare test reports and maintain testing records.
• Identify testing failures, investigate root causes and coordinate with production and quality teams for corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards and internal quality requirements.
• Follow electrical safety procedures during testing activities.

Required Qualifications

• B.E. / https://jobeax.com/link/2DENLGgQM7whDhaE in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 0 to 10 years of experience in electrical testing, preferably in CT/PT or instrument transformer manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of electrical measurement, transformer principles and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and test report preparation.
• Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards will be an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Practical knowledge of CT/PT testing and accuracy classes.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with production and quality teams.
