Job Description

ODE Consultants is looking for an experienced Tekla Structures RC Detailer / BIM Modeler to join our Structural Engineering and BIM team.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in reinforced concrete (RC) modelling, rebar detailing and preparation of construction drawings using Tekla Structures .

We are looking for a technically competent professional who can independently handle assigned RC modelling and detailing tasks, produce accurate models and drawings, and coordinate effectively with the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D reinforced concrete structural models using Tekla Structures.
  

• Perform rebar modelling and detailing for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, staircases and other RC structural elements.
  

• Prepare reinforcement drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, sections and construction details.
  

• Generate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), reinforcement quantity reports and material schedules from Tekla models.
  

• Interpret structural design drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
  

• Ensure accurate reinforcement placement, including bar spacing, anchorage, laps, development lengths and concrete cover.
  

• Identify and resolve reinforcement clashes, congestion and constructability issues.
  

• Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM teams and other project stakeholders.
  

• Perform quality checks on models, drawings and schedules to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  

• Follow established modelling and detailing standards and contribute to improving Tekla workflows and drawing quality.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  

• 4–10 years of relevant experience in structural modelling and RC detailing, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Tekla Structures in RC/rebar detailing .
  

• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for reinforced concrete modelling and reinforcement detailing.
  

• Proven experience in preparing reinforcement drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and construction documentation using Tekla.
  

• Good understanding of reinforced concrete detailing principles and construction practices.
  

• Ability to interpret structural drawings and independently handle assigned modelling and detailing tasks.
  

• Familiarity with reinforcement detailing standards and practices.
  

• Good technical coordination, problem-solving and quality-control skills.
  

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  

Important: Hands-on experience in RC/rebar modelling and detailing using Tekla Structures is essential. Candidates with experience exclusively in structural steel detailing will not be suitable for this role.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in complex RC structures and reinforcement arrangements.
  

• Knowledge of Tekla custom components, drawing templates, numbering and automated drawing generation.
  

• Experience in BIM-based structural coordination and multidisciplinary projects.
  

• Exposure to international projects and relevant reinforcement detailing standards.
  

• Experience in improving RC modelling and detailing workflows.
  

• Ability to guide junior detailers or support team development.
