Eurofins seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Java Architect to lead technical delivery of enterprise forensic case management and LIMS platforms. Responsibilities
Own architecture and development of enterprise Java applications across distributed teams
Design and implement scalable backend services using PostgreSQL, JPA/Hibernate, and WildFly
Develop CI/CD pipelines and automate build, deployment, and release processes in Azure DevOps
Support modernisation of legacy systems and provide technical guidance on design decisions
Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture stakeholders; mentor nearshore and offshore teams
Requirements
Bachelor's in Engineering or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years enterprise Java development and DevOps experience
Proficiency in Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, and PostgreSQL
Strong architecture design skills with SOLID principles and clean code practices
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Maven
Proven ability working in regulated or complex operational environments
Excellent English communication and analytical problem-solving skills
