We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – US Audit to manage audit engagements, review workpapers, and lead a team in delivering high-quality audits for NPO, EBP, and financial clients. The role requires strong technical expertise, client interaction, and team management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and review audits for NPO, EBP, and financial audits in accordance with US GAAP and GAAS
Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans to address identified risks
Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements
Review audit documentation, workpapers, and ensure quality and completeness
Analyze financial statements and identify discrepancies or irregularities
Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and reports to clients
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Act as a key point of contact for client coordination and engagement management
Mentor and guide junior team members; review their work for accuracy and quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient audit delivery
Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance audit methodologies
Requirements
3+ years of experience in US Audit (NPO, EBP, and Financial Audits preferred)
Strong understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and auditing procedures
Experience in reviewing work and handling small teams
Proficiency in audit tools and MS Office (Excel, Word)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good client communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
