Cytiva seeks a Systems Specialist in Controls Engineering Automation to design and implement industrial automation solutions for life sciences bioprocess applications. The role involves executing software development lifecycle activities, including HMI, PLC, and DCS development, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Bangalore on an on-site basis.
Responsibilities
Execute automation software development lifecycle including design, configuration, simulation, testing, verification, and validation
Support development and enhancement of bioprocess automation systems with cross-functional teams
Execute engineering change activities including ECRs and ECOs in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues to identify root causes and improve product performance and reliability
Collaborate with global engineering teams and participate in continuous learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or related field
Minimum 8 years of industrial automation and control system software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA and PLC programming on Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or AVEVA platforms
Knowledge of industrial automation architectures, communication protocols, PID control strategies, and field device integration
Experience with PLM and project management tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira, or equivalent platforms
Proficiency in software verification and validation methodologies, test planning, and defect management
Bioprocess, pharmaceutical, or regulated industrial environment experience preferred
