Supplier Engineer in Chennai, भारत

Intuitive Surgical seeks a Supplier Engineer to manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost standards for electronics manufacturing. The role involves PCBA qualification, design for manufacturability feedback, process improvement projects, and oversight of supplier performance across medical device production.

Responsibilities

• Drive PCBA manufacturing qualification at contract manufacturers with readiness reviews and milestone tracking
• Provide DFM feedback on PCB and PCBA designs to mitigate manufacturability risks early in development
• Execute supplier qualification deliverables including pFMEA, process validation, inspection reports, and capability analysis
• Lead cost reduction, capacity improvement, and risk mitigation projects with multiple suppliers concurrently
• Manage supplier variances and corrective actions from root cause analysis through documentation and closure

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of engineering or manufacturing experience in electronics assembly
• Proficiency with PCBA processes: stencil printing, SMT reflow, AOI, AXI, selective solder, and conformal coating
• PCBA design for manufacturability (DFM) experience
• Expertise in 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 regulatory standards
• Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Project, and ERP systems such as SAP
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
