GE HealthCare seeks a Staff Software Engineer to design and deploy innovative software solutions for medical imaging and healthcare IT platforms. The role involves leading the full development lifecycle, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of medical imaging and diagnostics software applications
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and foster culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot production defects, resolve performance issues, and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of progressive software development experience with proven delivery record
• Expert proficiency in C++, Java, Python, Angular, or similar programming language
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, secure software solutions and working with container-based applications
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Healthcare domain or medical device software experience preferred
