Senior Staff Engineer, Electrical at Thermo Fisher Scientific leads embedded system design and architecture for research and development products. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and establish embedded design standards for engineering teams
Review design concepts, component selections, and perform trade-off analysis before finalization
Develop and approve design documentation, verification plans, and requirement mapping
Lead cross-functional collaboration on system architecture and electronics design requirements
Mentor technical staff and resolve design challenges to meet regulatory and performance standards
Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
15+ years of hardware design and embedded systems development experience
Proficiency in analog, digital, and power supply design with sensor integration
Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards including EMC/EMI, UL, RoHS, CCC
Experience with design for manufacturing, test, and reliability methodologies
Proficiency with debugging instruments and design analysis tools
Strong knowledge of software and firmware engineering principles
