Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Programmer Analyst II to lead clinical SAS programming activities supporting complex clinical research projects. The role requires independent management of end-to-end SDTM, ADaM, and TLF development, with mentorship of junior programmers and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex clinical studies as Lead Programmer or Study Lead, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables
• Independently manage end-to-end SAS programming including SDTM, ADaM dataset development, and TLF generation
• Develop, execute, maintain, and validate SAS programs for clinical trial analysis and reporting
• Ensure CDISC compliance and perform quality control and validation of programming deliverables
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior programmers

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related field; or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of end-to-end clinical SAS programming experience including SDTM, ADaM, and TLF development
• Proven experience independently leading clinical studies as Study Lead Programmer
• Advanced SAS proficiency: Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, and clinical reporting
• Strong knowledge of CDISC standards, clinical trial processes, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience with junior programmers
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry experience
