Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate safety-critical firmware for Cortex-R5 MCU cores in accordance with ISO 26262.
Develop peripheral drivers for I2C, SPI, and GPIO and implement hardware abstraction layers and low-level register-level drivers.
Configure and use TI TDA4Vx SoC safety mechanisms, including lock-step cores, Memory Protection Units, and error signaling modules.
Lead board bring-up, bootloader development, and system boot-flow configuration.
Architect and implement IPC between the R5 safety/RTOS domain and A72/QNX application domain while ensuring freedom from interference.
Develop and optimize real-time applications on ETAS RTA-OS, FreeRTOS, or bare-metal environments, including interrupt handling, DMA, task scheduling, and memory management.
Debug system-level hardware/software issues using JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Collaborate with hardware engineers on schematic reviews and hardware requirements, and produce technical firmware design and validation documentation.
