Amgen's Center for Observational Research seeks an epidemiology analyst to support real-world evidence generation across the product lifecycle. The role involves designing and executing observational studies, managing medical codelists, and producing scientific communications for regulatory and commercial stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observational studies using real-world databases to support drug development and commercialization
• Develop and maintain high-quality medical codelists for study variables with clinical validity
• Execute epidemiologic analyses to characterize disease incidence and prevalence across regions
• Support pharmacovigilance activities and risk management plan development
• Prepare research reports, scientific manuscripts, and presentations for regulatory and scientific audiences

Requirements

• PhD in epidemiology or related field, or MBBS/equivalent clinical degree
• Experience designing and executing observational research studies in pharma or public health
• Proficiency with medical coding systems: ICD, MedDRA, SNOMED, RxNorm
• Experience with secondary data sources: claims, electronic health records, registries
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
• Familiarity with observational research platforms and analytics tools
