About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our database systems. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, scalability, performance, and security across all database platforms used in our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database architectures.

Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company data efficiently.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize application-database interaction.

Evaluate and implement tools for monitoring, automation, and performance tuning.

Establish and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures.

Conduct regular database health checks and performance assessments.

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place.

Support migration of legacy systems to modern database platforms (on-prem and cloud).

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in database architecture and administration.
• Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficient in data security, encryption, and access control best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle DBA, AWS Certified Database – Specialty).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices as applied to database operations.
