Position: Speech Therapist

Qualification: BASLP / MSc. SLP/ MASLP

Job Summary:

We are seeking a flexible and resourceful Speech Therapist to join our team at CAPAAR. The role involves conducting patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with teachers, family members, and healthcare professionals, administering therapy, and monitoring progress. The therapist should also be able to work with families from diverse backgrounds and be open to making house visits when required.

To succeed in this role, the candidate should have a strong passion for social and biological sciences, language, and human anatomy. Exceptional Speech Therapists are compassionate, adaptable, and skilled at leveraging available resources to deliver effective solutions.

Speech Therapist Responsibili ti es:

● Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preven ti ng language, speech, and swallowing disorders.

● Communica ti ng with the pa ti ent, and liaising with their family members, physicians, and teachers to design effec ti ve treatment plans.

● Using tried and tested therapies in combina ti on with new, innova ti ve techniques to provide the best care.  

● Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field by a tt ending conferences, conduc ti ng research, and expanding professional and academic networks.  

● Educa ti ng pa ti ents and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.

● Taking detailed notes on pa ti ent history and progress.

● Providing mentoring and workshops to speech therapy students.  

● Evalua ti ng pa r ent progress and implemen ti ng changes to therapy programs as required.

Requirements

Speech Therapist Requirements:

● Bachelor's and Master's degrees in speech therapy or speech-language pathology.  

● Relevant license and cer ti fica ti on.  (RCI)

● Experience with certain disorders and age groups may be required.  

● Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.  

● Familiarity with database management so ft ware.

● Excellent rela ti onship-building skills.

● Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
