Merck seeks a ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM Data Architect to design, implement, and govern the enterprise configuration management database. The role involves maintaining data models, managing integrations with cloud and infrastructure platforms, and ensuring data quality across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain CMDB data models, CI class hierarchies, relationships, and lifecycle management processes
Support CSDM implementation and adoption across business, application, technical, and infrastructure services
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, and integrations with cloud and security platforms
Monitor and improve CMDB health by investigating duplicate, stale, and misclassified configuration items
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for CMDB data quality issues and compliance remediation
Requirements
5-7 years overall IT experience with minimum 3-5 years hands-on ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM administration
Active ServiceNow certifications: CSA and Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM)
Proficiency in CMDB architecture, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and Identification & Reconciliation Engine configuration
Experience supporting CMDB integrations with AWS, Azure, SCCM, and security tools like Qualys and Wiz
Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, network devices, databases, and cloud platforms
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
