Merck seeks a virtualization specialist in Hyderabad to design, deploy, and maintain VMware infrastructure and Windows Server environments. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT services through infrastructure management and automation.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain VMware infrastructure including vSphere, vCenter, and NSX solutions
Install, configure, and manage Windows Server operating systems across multi-domain environments
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and performance monitoring for virtual environments
Automate system administration tasks and develop infrastructure documentation and procedures
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure robust infrastructure integration
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technology field
3+ years of experience with VMware technologies and Windows Server administration
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certifications preferred
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and system automation tools
Strong understanding of networking, virtualization best practices, and server hardware
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and DNS management
