Merck seeks a Data Protection (Backup and Recovery) Engineer for its Hyderabad technology center. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backup and recovery solutions using Cohesity, AWS Backup, Azure Backup, and Commvault
Develop automated backup and recovery processes using Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and GitHub Actions to reduce manual work
Build self-service features and API-based capabilities enabling customers to manage their own backup and recovery tasks
Lead optimization of backup processes, troubleshoot complex operational issues, and investigate unknown root causes with corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product managers on data protection strategies, conduct regular testing, and maintain comprehensive documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5–7 years of backup and recovery engineering experience at senior level
