About the job
We are hiring Full Stack Developers for opportunities with our client in Chennai. We are looking for candidates who enjoy building applications, solving technical problems, and working across backend systems, databases, and frontend technologies. We are hiring for two separate technology tracks under this opening:
Track 1: PHP & MySQL Development
1.1 Strong understanding of core PHP and MySQL
1.2 Experience building backend functionality, APIs, and database-driven applications
1.3 Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend integration
1.4 Understanding of SQL queries, database design, and CRUD operations
1.5 Knowledge of debugging, version control (Git), and application troubleshooting
Track 2: Java Spring Boot & React Development
2.1 Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP, and collections
2.2 Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development
2.3 Familiarity with https://jobeax.com/link/6WcBICn0LM558SP0, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
2.4 Experience working with MySQL or relational databases
2.5 Understanding of frontend-backend integration, debugging, and Git
Important: You only need to be proficient in ONE of these two technology stacks to apply. Knowledge of both is NOT required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, maintain, and improve web applications using your respective technology stack.
2. Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and database functionality.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
4. Debug issues, troubleshoot application behavior, and improve performance.
5. Collaborate with developers and other team members to deliver features.
6. Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical discussions.
Who Should Apply?
1. Have 0-2 years of experience in either PHP/MySQL or Java/Spring Boot/React development.
2. Have completed relevant internships, professional projects, or substantial personal projects.
3. Can demonstrate practical coding ability and strong problem-solving skills.
4. Understand fundamental programming concepts, SQL, and application development.
5. Are currently based in Chennai or are willing to relocate to Chennai.
6. Are comfortable working from the office.
Selection Process:
Our selection process emphasises practical coding skills over resumes and academic credentials.
Step 1: Application Screening
We review your profile, projects, and relevant technical experience.
Step 2: Technical Assignment
Shortlisted applicants receive a practical coding assignment with two options:
Option A: PHP & MySQL
Option B: Java Spring Boot, React & MySQL
You may choose either option based on your strengths. You only need to complete ONE assignment.
Assignments will be assessed on correctness, code quality, problem-solving ability, and implementation.
Step 3: Technical Interview
Candidates who perform well on the assignment will be invited for a technical discussion covering their solution, programming fundamentals, and relevant experience.
Step 4: Final Discussion
A final conversation regarding role expectations, location, compensation, and joining availability.
