This is a hands-on role with full ownership of a client portfolio, covering SEO strategy, delivery, performance and client relationships. You will work in highly competitive search environments, combining technical expertise with commercial judgement and AI-assisted workflows.
Your responsibilities
• Develop and deliver SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients, primarily within Gaming.
• Manage technical SEO, on-page optimisation and content activity, explaining the reasoning behind your recommendations.
• Direct link-building strategies, briefing internal teams and external suppliers on the most appropriate approach for each account.
• Identify and respond to negative SEO activity, including suspicious backlinks, manipulated anchor text and scraped or duplicated content.
• Launch new websites from the ground up, covering market and keyword research, site architecture, content planning and technical setup.
• Oversee WordPress structure and website infrastructure, including CDNs, DNS configuration, domain connections and migrations, working with developers where required.
• Use Claude Code and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to automate repetitive tasks and manage workflows across multiple accounts.
• Lead client reporting and review meetings, communicating results clearly and managing expectations around performance and timelines.
What we’re looking for
• At least four years of SEO experience, supported by a demonstrable track record.
• Experience launching new websites and achieving rankings, rather than solely optimising established sites.
• Strong knowledge of SEO in highly competitive industries and the tactics used to compete effectively.
• Experience identifying, assessing and responding to negative SEO.
• Strategic link-building expertise, including an understanding of different link types, their suitability and associated risks. You will direct delivery rather than build links yourself.
• A working knowledge of PHP, HTML and CSS sufficient to understand WordPress themes, troubleshoot issues and brief developers.
• Confidence working with CDNs, DNS records, domain connections and website migrations.
• Practical proficiency with Claude Code, including building and combining MCP integrations and managing multiple concurrent sessions.
• Strong working knowledge of Ahrefs, Google Search Console and technical crawling tools.
• Confident client communication, with the ability to explain complex issues and handle challenging conversations.
• An independent, accountable approach to managing priorities and delivering results.
Additional experience that would be valuable
• Direct SEO experience within iGaming, casino or sports betting.
• Managing website migrations while protecting search performance.
• Building your own tools and automation workflows.
