Intuitive Surgical seeks a Senior Supplier Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between suppliers and internal teams for a medical device manufacturer. The role encompasses supplier qualification, new product introduction, quality management, and continuous improvement across global supply chains.
Responsibilities
Assess, qualify, and develop suppliers to meet technical, quality, regulatory, and business standards
Lead new product introduction activities including design for manufacturability and supplier readiness
Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive corrective action using structured problem-solving
Manage supplier qualification deliverables: process documentation, FMEA, control plans, FAI, and PPAP submissions
Coordinate cross-functional projects with engineering, sourcing, quality, and operations teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related technical field
5+ years in supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, or new product introduction
Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and capability studies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
Experience conducting supplier audits and technical assessments
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systems
