GE HealthCare seeks a Senior Systems Designer for digital cardiovascular ultrasound products. This role oversees systems engineering throughout the device lifecycle, from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment of customer workflows, regulatory compliance, quality, and cost objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end systems engineering activities for digital cardiovascular ultrasound products from concept through commercialization and post-market support
Own product feature definition, architecture development, design analysis, integration, verification, validation, and risk management
Conduct design trade-off analyses and data-driven decisions balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, clinical, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and marketing organizations
Serve as primary systems engineering representative for audits, regulatory submissions, and compliance activities
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related STEM field
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in product development
Minimum 6 years of systems engineering and design control in medical device or healthcare technology
Strong knowledge of medical device lifecycle, requirements management, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Experience leading cross-functional product development teams and complex technical programs
Knowledge of system architecture, subsystem integration, and software-hardware interactions
