Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in our Global Capability Center (GCC). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices Architecture, and Cloud-native application development . You will work closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
This role requires a hands-on engineer who can drive technical excellence, collaborate with onshore leads and product teams on complex integrations, mentor junior developers, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs to support enterprise-scale applications.
Design and develop microservices-based architectures with high availability and resilience.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop secure, performant, and reusable application components.
Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement automated unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability.
Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and software development best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Required Qualifications
Experience with NoSQL databases such as:
MongoDB
Cassandra (preferred)
Hands-on experience with:
Git
Maven/Gradle
Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps
Experience with container technologies:
Docker
Kubernetes/OpenShift
Quality & Reliability
Write unit, integration, and component tests using JUnit, Mockito, Camel Test, Karate
Ensure observability using Splunk / Datadog
Follow secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities using Fortify, BlackDuck, Twistlock, SonarQube
Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience with cloud platforms:
