About the Role:
As the Senior SEO Content Writer at IIDE, Mumbai, you will play a key role in creating high-quality, search-optimised content that strengthens IIDE’s organic visibility, engages prospective learners, and contributes to lead generation.
This role involves researching, writing, editing, and optimising content across blogs, landing pages, website pages, reports, case studies, PR articles, guest posts, and other marketing formats. You will work closely with the SEO and Growth teams to translate keyword opportunities and search intent into valuable content while maintaining IIDE’s brand voice and editorial standards.
You will also support junior writers and interns through content reviews and feedback while continuously improving content performance, quality, and conversion potential.
What You’ll Do:
SEO Content Creation & Optimisation:
- Research and create well-structured, engaging, and SEO-optimised blogs, website pages, landing pages, PR articles, guest posts, reports, case studies, and marketing content.
- Write content that effectively addresses search intent while maintaining readability, accuracy, relevance, and IIDE’s brand voice.
- Optimise existing website and blog content to improve organic rankings, traffic, engagement, and lead conversion.
- Incorporate keywords, internal links, headings, metadata recommendations, calls-to-action, and other on-page SEO elements naturally within content.
Research & Content Quality:
- Conduct in-depth research across education, careers, digital marketing, business, AI, emerging technologies, and related topics.
- Ensure content is factual, credible, original, and aligned with Google’s Helpful Content and E-E-A-T principles.
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, structure, consistency, tone, and factual accuracy.
- Translate complex topics into simple, useful, and engaging content for different learner audiences.
SEO & Growth Collaboration:
- Work closely with the SEO team to understand keyword opportunities, search intent, content gaps, competitor insights, and organic growth priorities.
- Collaborate with the Growth team to create content that supports both traffic acquisition and lead-generation objectives.
- Review content performance and use SEO and analytics insights to identify opportunities for updates, refreshes, and optimisation.
- Develop conversion-focused website content and improve calls-to-action, messaging, and content flow to support higher lead conversion rates.
Content Editing & Writer Support:
- Review content created by junior writers and interns and provide actionable feedback to improve quality, structure, SEO alignment, and readability.
- Support the creation of content briefs, outlines, and research directions for assigned topics.
- Help maintain consistent editorial standards and brand communication across published content.
- Share content writing and SEO best practices with junior members of the content team.
AI-Assisted Content Development:
- Use AI tools responsibly for research, ideation, content outlining, brainstorming, and productivity enhancement.
- Fact-check, edit, and human-review all AI-assisted outputs before using them in published content.
- Experiment with new tools and workflows that improve content quality and efficiency without compromising originality or credibility.
Additional Duties:
- Stay updated with SEO trends, Google search updates, content marketing practices, and developments in AI-assisted content creation.
- Contribute ideas for new content formats, topics, reports, and organic growth initiatives.
- Coordinate with designers, SEO specialists, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth content execution.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.
Requirements
Who You Are:
Must-Have:
- 2 to 4 years of professional content writing, SEO content writing, or editorial experience.
- Excellent written English with strong research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proven ability to create long-form and short-form content across blogs, websites, landing pages, articles, and marketing formats.
- Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including keywords, search intent, internal linking, content optimisation, and on-page SEO.
- Ability to research unfamiliar topics and convert complex information into clear, engaging, and useful content.
- Experience reviewing content and providing constructive feedback to junior writers or interns.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Should Have:
- Understanding of Google’s Helpful Content principles and E-E-A-T guidelines.
- Experience writing content designed to drive organic traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Familiarity with content performance metrics and the ability to use performance insights to improve existing content.
- Experience working closely with SEO, marketing, or growth teams.
- Comfortable using AI tools for research, ideation, and content workflows while maintaining strong editorial judgement.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in education, EdTech, digital marketing, business, AI, careers, or another content-led industry.
- Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Strapi.
- Familiarity with tools and workflows for content optimisation, competitor research, and AI-assisted content creation.
