About the Role
SaveIN is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong automation focus to help scale test coverage across our lending and payments platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure the reliability, security, and correctness of systems that handle financial transactions and sensitive customer data.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated API, UI, and regression test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Own the test strategy for critical customer journeys, including onboarding, credit decisioning, disbursement, and repayment and collections.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for integrations with bank partners (HDFC, ICICI, and IDFC FIRST) and bureau and KYC providers.
- Identify test coverage gaps and proactively build automated regression suites to reduce reliance on manual QA.
- Collaborate with developers to shift testing left by embedding test gates into CI/CD alongside SAST and security checks.
- Perform API contract, load and performance testing, and data validation for financial transactions.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and work with engineering to drive root-cause fixes.
- Contribute to test data management, particularly for PII- and DPDP-compliant sandbox data.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and help formalize QA processes, test documentation, and release sign-off criteria.
- Participate in production incident reviews to identify issues that earlier testing could have caught.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in QA or SDET roles, with a strong hands-on automation focus.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, and API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and experience integrating automated tests.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Basic scripting ability in Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including test planning, traceability, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Prior experience in fintech, banking, or lending products is a strong plus, including familiarity with KYC, credit underwriting, or payment flows.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6 is a plus.
- Exposure to security testing basics, such as the OWASP Top 10, is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing systems with multiple bank or NBFC integrations.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven QA, including audit trails and RBI or data protection considerations.
- Interest in AI-assisted testing tools or agentic QA workflows, an area of growing focus for the team.
