Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Principal Data Scientist to lead strategy and scale reusable machine learning, generative AI, optimization, and real-world data capabilities across Global Development. The role directs cross-functional programs, platforms, and governance to strengthen clinical operations, feasibility, patient access, quality, and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and lead cross-functional programs scaling ML, GenAI, optimization, and RWD products and platforms
• Design, deploy, and manage reusable analytical platforms spanning clinical operations, feasibility, patient access, and portfolio efficiency
• Define and scale RWD analytics using EHR, claims, registries, and trial data for decision-grade evidence generation
• Establish standards for solution architecture, validation, governance, risk management, privacy, and responsible AI deployment
• Measure portfolio impact through product reuse, adoption, and performance against agreed outcomes

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, biostatistics, health economics, or quantitative discipline; PhD preferred
• 8+ years leading cross-functional programs and scaling data science, AI, optimization, or RWD capabilities
• Expertise in predictive modeling, optimization, GenAI, and RWD analytics in clinical development or regulated environments
• Experience developing production-ready analytical products with validation, monitoring, and lifecycle management standards
• Strong knowledge of model governance, MLOps, privacy, data quality, and responsible AI
• Proven executive influence and experience mentoring technical talent across functions
