Amgen seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop scalable ML platforms and workflows supporting drug discovery and development. Responsibilities
Build and deploy AI/ML applications including NLP, protein language models, and LLMs
Develop ML platform capabilities including data pipelines, model training, and experiment tracking systems
Implement MLOps best practices and CI/CD infrastructure on cloud platforms
Maintain scalable, productionized MLOps solutions and monitor model performance
Train scientists and researchers on model lifecycle management and best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
4-8 years of professional experience in software engineering or ML engineering
Python programming, version control, and test-driven development
Hands-on experience training and serving AI/ML models
Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Databricks
Experience with MLOps frameworks and tools such as MLflow or Kubeflow
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
