Senior Java Engineer.SQL*.Agile* in Chennai, India

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and QA engineers, to deliver robust software solutions that align with our business objectives.

Software Development: Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure Java-based applications and microservices.

Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement automated testing (unit, integration, and performance testing).

Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization.

CI/CD & DevOps: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.

Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Core Java & Frameworks

Java Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java (version 11/17/21) with a deep understanding of core concepts like multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, and JVM tuning.

Spring Ecosystem: Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.

Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.

Database & Integration

Relational Databases: Strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.

NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis is highly desirable.

Experience with message brokers and event-streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, take ownership of deliverables, and drive projects to completion.

Agile Mindset: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience

Java & Spring: Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

Proven experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.

Strong experience with Kafka implementation for building event-driven systems.

Good knowledge of container technologies, with specific experience in ECS.

Database: Strong proficiency in PL/SQL for database development and optimization.

Agile Methodologies: Solid experience working in and practicing Agile development methodologies.

AI and Prompt Engineering: Wide exposure to and practical experience with smart AI tools and the ability to craft optimized prompts.
