Baxter seeks a Senior Engineer in Human Factors to apply usability and ergonomic principles to medical device design and development. The role involves leading cross-functional human factors activities, conducting usability assessments, and collaborating with R&D teams to improve product safety and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate project scope, plans, and deliverables with cross-functional program teams
• Perform human factors and usability assessments for hardware, software, labeling, and disposables
• Lead formative and summative usability studies with customers and stakeholders
• Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and evaluate product prototypes for user interface
• Draw technical conclusions and provide recommendations based on human factors analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering or related discipline; Master's preferred
• Minimum 5 years of human factors working experience
• Proven experience applying HFE techniques across product lifecycle stages
• Knowledge of human factors standards and requirements implementation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in user-centered design, heuristic evaluation, and qualitative analysis
• Experience with quality management systems such as Trackwise or JIRA
