Senior engineer role overseeing SAP code management, transport governance, and release coordination across multiple environments. Responsible for ensuring traceability, quality, and compliance of development objects while partnering with cross-functional teams on deployments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead SAP code management, transport governance, and promotion activities across development through production environments
Ensure end-to-end traceability of development objects by aligning requirements, designs, code changes, testing, and deployments
Conduct technical reviews, code quality assessments, and compliance validations for security and maintainability
Manage release readiness through transport inventories, dependency mapping, deployment plans, and rollback procedures
Monitor performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and deliver reporting on code quality, technical debt, and operational risks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field; Master's preferred
10+ years professional experience delivering large-scale global ERP transformation programs
5+ years SAP software engineering, transport management, release management, or code governance experience
Strong expertise with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP development, technical objects, integrations, and release processes
Proficiency with CTS+, ChaRM, SAP Solution Manager, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Jira, and ServiceNow
Knowledge of source control, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills across matrixed global organizations
