DevOps Engineer ('DOE') is responsible for deploying and managing Tresata software installations for clients. You will develop code for automated deployment and configuration, and manage deployments by maintaining configurations and upgrading software. Environments vary from on-site Hadoop/Spark Clusters to Amazon AWS deployments (EC2, S3, EMR, VPC, Lambda) and Google Cloud deployments (CloudStorage, Dataproc, VPC). In this role you will frequently interact with clients to configure software deployments which transform how they leverage technology for data intelligence.
Success in this role requires understanding the architecture and workflow of the deployments, and responding promptly to problems. Demonstrated experience in using technological solutions and in creating exceptional software products to solve complex business problems is key.
Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage the AWS & Azure infrastructure components required for our product development environment. This includes virtual networks, storage accounts, virtual machines, and other resources
Kubernetes Deployment: Set up and maintain Kubernetes clusters for deploying and scaling our applications. Design and implement best practices for containerization, orchestration, and service discovery using Kubernetes. Experience of auditing and logging with Kubernetes is preferred
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to define and manage infrastructure configurations, ensuring consistency and reproducibility
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues and system failures. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and operations, to understand product requirements and ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications. Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for future reference. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization. Establish and enforce quality assurance measures, ensuring that client onboarding adheres to the highest standards
