Senior Data Engineer in Hyderabad, भारत

Amgen seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer in Hyderabad to design and deliver scalable enterprise data solutions. The role involves building batch and real-time pipelines, governed data platforms, and providing technical leadership across analytics and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data
• Build lakehouse and data-platform solutions on Databricks and AWS with structured and unstructured data integration
• Optimize Spark workloads, compute resources, and SQL performance for efficiency and cost management
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and data-quality controls for production systems
• Mentor engineers, define engineering standards, and lead architecture and code reviews across teams

Requirements

• Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years experience; or Bachelor's with 9+ years experience
• Advanced expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, Python, and SQL
• Production experience designing and operating batch and streaming data pipelines
• Strong AWS data, compute, storage, security, and monitoring services knowledge
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage, RBAC, and access controls
• Proven ability leading technical design, code reviews, and complex production implementations
• Experience in regulated industries (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or manufacturing) preferred
