Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Data Analyst to advance enterprise analytics capabilities and build AI-ready data foundations. The role combines analytics engineering, semantic modeling, and AI-enabled insights, reporting to senior leadership while partnering across business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Transform business questions into analytical requirements, data models, metrics, dashboards, and actionable recommendations
Design and maintain scalable analytical datasets and reusable semantic layers standardizing business entities and KPIs
Partner with data engineering teams to develop reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and curated analytical datasets
Build dashboards and self-service analytical products that deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders
Evaluate and improve accuracy of AI-generated analytical responses through validation and quality assurance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or related field
Advanced SQL, data modeling, and analytics engineering expertise
Experience with cloud-based data warehouses or analytical platforms
Strong analytical thinking combined with business acumen and stakeholder communication skills
Proficiency in Python or similar automation technologies
Experience developing scalable analytical datasets and semantic data models
