We are seeking to recruit an intermediate to senior Structural Designer to join our GCC India team located in Bengaluru, Noida and Mumbai for helping to contribute towards its continuing success.
To contribute for Structure CAD project deliverables for Infrastructure projects as per WSP CAD standards.
This role is to contribute to growing utilities infrastructure CAD team delivering wet utilities (including Wastewater Sewage Pumping Station and Water management structures for municipal service) deliverables in compliance with WSP Australia CAD standards.
Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings for structure using Autodesk Advance Steel software with quality and accuracy.
Prepare structural drawings that involve piling layouts and schedules, structural concrete drawings with rebar details, structural steel drawings, building architectural drawings and Fabrication drawings based on engineering instructions, government and regulatory codes.
Develop 3D models and extract 2D drawings from 3D models.
Must complete a high-quality self check on own work with efficiency. Should follow internal QC process to deliver high standards project documents.
Perform revisions to engineering drawings, as marked up made by the Checkers and Leads. Verify to ensure drawing modifications are accurately and correctly carried out.
Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule.
Communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables.
Revit MEP modeling would be an asset (Revit Structural modelling occasionally).
Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer.
Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault software. Our CDE (Common Data Environment). WSP Digital Engineering standard requires the use and implication of Autodesk Vault to uphold our ISO19650 accreditation and ISO27001.
Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies, be vigilant about health and safety even when outside of work hours.
Ensuring that quality assurance (QA) procedures are implemented and maintained, becoming a champion of QA to uphold the high level of quality WSP maintain and aiming to improve QA processes.
Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
Be willing to develop and learn new skills and software, cross discipline minded (understanding structural requirements, Civil requirements) and implementing those design requirements into your models / drawings.
Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary project team.
Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement.
Maintain strong colleague relationships and contribute to the teams' performance of client satisfaction.
Be self-motivated to take on a responsible role in project work with a clear focus on timeliness, quality, and technical excellence.
Work across cultures (e.g., international and/or multi-disciplinary projects), embracing diverse points of view.
Deliver successful commercial performance by clearly understanding and monitoring the area of work and ensure agreed targets are met
Be responsible for the quality of technical outputs to WSP standards including any specific AU client standards
Explore ways to add value and improve personal and team performance
Manage opportunities, risks and project changes / variations so that these deliver advantage to the business.
Should have 4-10 years' experience.
Should have diploma or Degree in Civil/structure or relevant field
Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Revit, Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
Experience with utilities water pipeline projects: potable water supply mains from DN50-DN1200, pumping stations, reservoirs, water sampling stations, bulk metering systems, chemical dosing systems etc. (Experience with utilities wastewater and recycled water pipeline projects: gravity sewers and rising mains of all sizes and various pipe materials, pumping stations, emergency storage systems, odor control units etc.
Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage.
