Senior Analyst role in pharmaceutical analytics at AstraZeneca's Chennai office, converting healthcare data into actionable insights for commercial strategy and brand performance. Responsibilities
Partner with commercial stakeholders to translate strategic questions into analytical plans informing brand strategy and resource allocation
Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to generate decision-ready recommendations from real-world data
Build and productionize efficient data pipelines using PySpark and DataBricks for reliable analytical assets
Create visualizations and narratives communicating analytical findings, trade-offs, and recommended actions to leadership
Design KPIs, dashboards, and test-and-learn frameworks to measure impact and enable rapid course correction
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related); Master's or PhD preferred
2+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare analytics and secondary data analysis experience
5+ years applying advanced statistical methods to large, disparate datasets
4+ years proficiency with PySpark, Python, R, and SQL
Experience with longitudinal data sources including claims data and electronic medical records
Proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlikview, or similar)
Strong statistical modeling background including Design of Experiments, time series, regression, econometrics, and Bayesian methods
