Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a senior molecular biology scientist to lead computational and generative AI-driven antibody development strategies. The role combines technical expertise in bioinformatics with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration to advance high-throughput recombinant antibody platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead development of in-silico and computational antibody engineering strategies for high-throughput platforms
Evaluate and implement generative AI and computational tools to optimize recombinant antibody workflows
Provide technical and operational supervision to matrix-style team of scientists with mentoring focus
Serve as subject matter expert in computational biology, bioinformatics, and NGS pipelines to guide innovation
Collaborate with product management, operations, and business development teams on program execution
Requirements
PhD with 5–7 years' experience, or Master's degree with 10–13 years' experience
Degree in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field
Expert proficiency in Python, R, and tools like PyMOL, BLAST, AlphaFold, Chimera
Extensive experience with next-generation sequencing pipelines and computational protein design
Knowledge of deep learning models, large language models, and prompt engineering applications
Experience designing websites or databases using HTML, JavaScript, ShinyR, or PowerApps
