We build and deliver enterprise reporting using modern, source-controlled Power BI https://jobeax.com/link/QChI6QY3PqQKEA0q the Role:We are looking for a Power BI developer who is comfortable working in a code-first, version-controlled workflow. Our team does not use PBIX files. All Power BI work is built in the PBIP format, stored in GitHub and deployed through Azure DevOps https://jobeax.com/link/s3njqFhScCcbkWKY job will include migrating our existing PBIX reports to PBIP, along with regular delivery work on client BI projects.Responsibilities:- Migrate existing PBIX reports and semantic models to PBIP, ensuring no loss of functionality, formatting or logic- Validate migrated reports against the originals (visuals, measures, relationships, RLS, refresh)- Work directly with semantic model definitions using TMDL, including editing tables, measures, relationships and roles- Manage Power BI projects in GitHub (branching, pull requests, commits, merge conflict resolution)- Run and maintain deployments through Azure DevOps pipelines- Document the migration approach and working conventions for the wider team- Build and enhance dashboards and data models for client projectsMust-Have Skills :- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, DAX and data modelling- Working knowledge of the PBIP (Power BI Project) format and its folder structure- Experience with TMDL to read, edit and manage Power BI semantic models- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows- Experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, deployments)- Understanding of Power BI Service, workspaces and deployment processesGood to Have :- Experience with Tabular Editor or similar external tools- Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI and deployment pipelines- Power Query (M) and SQL skills- Exposure to row-level security and incremental refresh (ref:hirist.tech)
