1. Paint Automation — Robotics Engineer (Remote) Company: [Stealth Startup — Paint Automation] Role: Robotics Engineer — Cable-Suspended Exterior Painting Robot Location: Remote (Global) Compensation: 4% Equity (Vesting: 4 years, 1-year cliff) Stage: TRL 1 — Idea Stage | No team | No traction Commitment: Part-time to Full-time (Flexible) About the Startup We are building a cable-suspended robotic system that automates exterior painting of buildings in the real estate sector. The robot is suspended from the top of a building via cables and autonomously performs paint jobs on exterior walls — eliminating scaffolding, reducing labor costs, improving safety, and accelerating project timelines. This is a TRL 1 (basic principles observed) concept. There is no team, no product, and no traction. You will be joining as a founding engineer and co-owner of the vision. What You'll Do Design and prototype the cable-suspended robotic platform (mechanical structure, winch system, cable tension control). Develop motion planning and control algorithms for stable positioning and smooth traversal across building facades. Integrate sensors (IMU, cameras, LiDAR, force sensors) for surface detection, obstacle avoidance, and paint coverage optimization. Build the paint delivery system (spray nozzle, flow control, pressure regulation) and ensure uniform coating. Develop a simulation environment (Gazebo/Isaac Sim) for testing before physical prototyping. Work with the founder to define the MVP, testing protocol, and go-to-market strategy. Document all IP, designs, and code for patent filing. What You Bring Strong experience in robotics engineering (mechanical + control systems). Proficiency in ROS/ROS2, Python, C++, and simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar). Experience with cable-driven parallel robots (CDPR) or suspended robotic systems is a strong plus. Knowledge of computer vision (OpenCV, YOLO, or similar) for surface detection. Experience with motor control, winches, and tension management. Ability to work independently in a zero-resource, high-ambiguity environment. Startup mindset: scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable with uncertainty. Nice to Have Experience in construction robotics or facade maintenance automation. Familiarity with spray painting systems and coating technologies. Prior founding or early-stage startup experience. Patent filing experience. What You Get 4% equity in the startup (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff). Founding engineer title and co-ownership of the vision. Full autonomy to shape the technical direction. Remote, flexible work environment. Opportunity to build a category-defining product in construction robotics. No Drag-Out Clause You agree to not delay, stall, or intentionally prolong any deliverable, decision, or milestone. All tasks must be executed with urgency and good faith. Any deliberate drag-out will be treated as a material breach of this agreement. Anti-Compete Clause During the term of this agreement and for 24 months after termination: You will not directly or indirectly engage in, consult for, advise, or invest in any business that develops cable-suspended painting robots, facade painting automation, or substantially similar construction robotics solutions. You will not solicit, hire, or poach any team member, contractor, or advisor of the startup. You will not use, disclose, or exploit any proprietary information, trade secrets, or IP developed during your engagement. Any invention, design, or code developed during your engagement shall be the sole property of the startup. How to Apply Send your resume, portfolio, and a brief note on why you want to build this to [email address]. Subject line: Paint Automation — Robotics Engineer Application 2. AI Connecting the Dots — AI/ML Engineer (Remote) Company: [Stealth Startup — AI Connecting the Dots] Role: AI/ML Engineer — Web-Scanning Query-to-Lead Engine Location: Remote (Global) Compensation: 4% Equity (Vesting: 4 years, 1-year cliff) Stage: TRL 1 — Idea Stage | No team | No traction Commitment: Part-time to Full-time (Flexible) About the Startup We are building an AI-powered engine that takes a user's query, scans the entire web in real-time, and suggests responses, leads, and opportunities by connecting dots across disparate data sources. Think of it as a research analyst, lead generator, and opportunity discovery engine rolled into one. Use cases include: Finding business leads from unstructured web data. Connecting news, social media, and public records to surface opportunities. Answering complex queries with cited, real-time web evidence. Building a knowledge graph of people, companies, and events. This is a TRL 1 (basic principles observed) concept. There is no team, no product, and no traction. You will be joining as a founding engineer and co-owner of the vision. What You'll Do Design and build the web-scanning pipeline (crawlers, scrapers, API integrations). Develop NLP models for query understanding, entity extraction, relationship mapping, and summarization. Build a knowledge graph that connects people, companies, events, and opportunities. Implement real-time search and ranking algorithms (vector search, semantic search, hybrid retrieval). Integrate LLMs (fine-tuning, RAG, prompt engineering) for response generation and lead scoring. Develop the lead recommendation engine — scoring, ranking, and personalization. Build the user-facing query interface (API + dashboard). Work with the founder to define the MVP, data sources, and monetization strategy. Ensure compliance with web scraping laws, GDPR, and data privacy regulations. What You Bring Strong experience in AI/ML engineering (NLP, information retrieval, knowledge graphs). Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and NLP libraries (Hugging Face, spaCy, LangChain). Experience with web crawling/scraping (Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium) and API integrations. Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and semantic search. Experience with LLMs (GPT, Llama, Mistral) and RAG pipelines. Familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j, ArangoDB) and graph neural networks. Ability to work independently in a zero-resource, high-ambiguity environment. Startup mindset: scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable with uncertainty. Nice to Have Experience in lead generation, sales intelligence, or market research tools. Familiarity with OSINT (open-source intelligence) techniques. Prior founding or early-stage startup experience. Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing (Spark, Kafka). What You Get 4% equity in the startup (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff). Founding engineer title and co-ownership of the vision. Full autonomy to shape the technical direction. Remote, flexible work environment. Opportunity to build a category-defining product in AI-powered opportunity discovery. No Drag-Out Clause You agree to not delay, stall, or intentionally prolong any deliverable, decision, or milestone. All tasks must be executed with urgency and good faith.
