Job Description: Relationship Manager (Sales)

Position Overview

• Position Title: Relationship Manager
• Grade: Assistant Manager / Manager
• Reporting To: Cluster Head
• Locations: Bengaluru & Hyderabad
• Target Experience: 5 - 7 Years

Job Purpose

The Relationship Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing distribution channels, and acquiring investors across retail, institutional, and banking channels through direct efforts and distributor-led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Revenue Targets: Achieve assigned targets across key metrics including Assets Under Management (AUM), Gross/Net Sales, SIP acquisitions, number of transactions, customer account additions, and market share growth.
• Channel Development & Management: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with key distributors, including Banks, National Distributors, and IFAs.
• Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the Cluster Head to create channel-specific growth strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Campaign & Product Execution: Lead and implement sales promotion drives, marketing campaigns, and new product launches across the assigned territory.
• Team Management & Training: Manage and support sales/distribution staff (permanent and outsourced). Conduct market and product training sessions for internal teams and external distributors.
• Reporting & Market Intelligence: Provide regular updates, market feedback, and progress reports to the Cluster Head.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate internally with Marketing, Operations, Customer Support, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth service delivery and regulatory adherence.

Key Connects & Stakeholders

• Internal: Marketing, Customer Service / Operations, Compliance.
• External: Distributors (Banks, National Distributors), HNI Customers, Financial Institutions, Banking Channels.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Postgraduate degree or MBA from a recognized business school.
• Mandatory Certification: Valid NISM Series V-A Certification is strictly required.
• Work Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in financial product sales.
• Industry Background: Currently working in an AMC, National Distributor network, Life Insurance (Bancassurance/Direct), Banking, or NBFC.

• Strong understanding of retail financial products, specifically Mutual Funds and distribution models.
• Proven track record in channel management and relationship building with distributors and institutional clients.
• Solid business acumen and financial market awareness.
• Strong leadership, team management, and presentation skills.
