R-D Engineer II in Nānakrāmguda, भारत

Medtronic seeks an R&D Engineer II to lead medium-to-high complexity supplier transfers and cost-reduction projects. The role involves manufacturing process optimization, technical assessments, CAD documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

• Lead design documentation assessments, manufacturing print reviews, and remediation for RFQ activities
• Participate in ideation workshops to evaluate project scope and financial viability with supplier validation
• Coordinate supplier interactions and resolve technical queries to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Create, review, and refine 2D drawings and 3D CAD models; perform reverse engineering and design reviews
• Execute DFMEA and design risk assessments; validate drawings for manufacturability and compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering; Master's preferred in Plastics, Materials, or Tool Design
• 4-8 years of experience in gap assessments, manufacturing print reviews, and RFQ remediation activities
• Completed at least one end-to-end supplier transfer project for components or sub-systems
• Proficiency in should-costing tools and techniques for metals, plastics, and electronics
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and Lean Manufacturing principles
• VAVE certification or equivalent hands-on experience in value analysis and engineering
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience; knowledge of Power BI and data analytics
