Responsibilities Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects. Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives; works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels. Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers, implementing process controls, certification programs, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits and records. Identified quality problem(s) and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier.
Degree Requirement Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant and equivalent work experience in the field Desired Skilsets: Knowledge of light fabrication, Non-Metallics, Specialiaty category parts used in SSL products Caterpillar Print Reading & 1E Specs Prior exposure to Quality and Procurement functions In-depth understanding of reactive quality management Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes followed by tier-1 suppliers
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Quality and Supplier process partners in high-pressure environments
