Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Location: Pune, India | Type: Full-Time | Reporting to : WBS - Quality Lead (Abhay Jadhav)
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management & Development
Conduct regular supplier audits and on-site visits across India (high willingness to travel)
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on cost, quality, and technical capability
Build and maintain a sustainable supplier network aligned with the company's strategy
Support supplier onboarding and capability assessments
Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and performance
Ensure suppliers comply with applicable regulations, including the German Supply Chain Act
Sourcing & Cost Analysis
Perform market research and benchmarking to identify competitive sourcing opportunities
Support make-or-buy decisions and sourcing strategies for defined product groups
Monitor raw material price trends and support cost optimization initiatives
Implement dual sourcing strategies and risk mitigation measures
Quality Assurance & Control
Perform inspections according to specifications, standards, and acceptance criteria
Ensure traceability of materials and raw materials in line with documentation and regulatory requirements
Maintain inspection records and quality documentation
Monitor process capability metrics and implement appropriate control mechanisms
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
Lead and support issue resolution processes using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA)
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with internal teams and suppliers
Integrate customer feedback into continuous quality improvement initiatives
Operations & Reporting
Track purchase orders and manage ERP-based workflows
Prepare supplier and quality performance reports
Monitor KPIs and escalate quality or delivery issues as required
Coordinate cross-functional communication between sourcing, quality, and operations teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong combination of commercial and technical understanding
- 3-5 years of experience in quality & supplier development
- Good understanding of mechanical parts, tools, Ironmongery, sanitary products.
- Experience in audits and inspections, knowledge of supplier certifications and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel frequently to Supplier locations
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of DIN / ISO / EN / IS / JIS, etc. standards
Critical thinking and a solution-based approach
Experience with Indian supplier networks
Measurement tools, methods, and sampling standard knowledge
Knowledge of packaging and labeling requirements
Cross-cultural communication skills
