About the job
As a quality analyst at InstaAstro, you'll help ensure software changes work as intended before they reach users. You'll combine careful manual testing with practical automation, collaborating with the team to identify issues early and improve release quality.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Review requirements and design notes to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and areas that need clarification.2. Create and maintain clear test cases for new features, existing workflows, and regression coverage.
3. Perform manual testing across relevant platforms and report defects with reliable steps, expected results, and supporting details.
4. Use automation to cover repeatable checks, maintain existing scripts, and help expand regression testing where it adds value.
5. Verify fixes, investigate unexpected results, and track defects through resolution in collaboration with developers.
6. Participate in release testing and communicate coverage, findings, and outstanding risks clearly to the team.
7. Look for recurring quality issues and suggest practical improvements to testing processes and test coverage.
