Position Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in test automation using Java, Selenium, and REST Assured. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in UI and API automation, a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, and hands-on experience working in Agile environments.
Experience with Playwright is considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated API test suites using REST Assured.
Create scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios and automation scripts.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure product quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices.
Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams for issue resolution.
Maintain automation standards, framework best practices, and test documentation.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation stability, and execution efficiency.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
Strong programming experience in Java.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
Strong expertise in REST API Automation using REST Assured.
Good understanding of API testing concepts, including:
Methods
Status Codes
Request/Response Validation
Authentication & Authorization
JSON and XML Processing
Experience with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
Strong knowledge of automation framework design and development.
Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Proficiency in source code management tools such as Git.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Good understanding of:

Regression Testing
Integration Testing
Experience with CI/CD tools such as:
Jenkins
GitHub Actions
GitLab CI
