Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a QA Engineer II to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives at the Pune manufacturing site. The role focuses on deploying Lean methodologies, driving process optimization, and ensuring quality compliance while supporting the site's $1M annual improvement savings target.
Responsibilities
Lead deployment of PPI culture and continuous improvement framework across the manufacturing site
Facilitate Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean workshops
Lead Root Cause Analysis, CAPA processes, and effectiveness verification to reduce non-conformances
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics using dashboards and visual management tools
Coach and mentor employees on Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field
5–8 years of experience in Operations Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Manufacturing
Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Proven track record of leading successful process improvement projects
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
