Python Developer - (with SQL experience) in Chennai, India

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in Python programming and SQL to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience, good database knowledge, and the ability to work independently on complex technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Python .
Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable Python code.
Write complex and optimized SQL queries , stored procedures, joins, subqueries, and CTEs.
Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server .
Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
Troubleshoot application and database-related issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Optimize application performance and SQL queries.
Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Write unit tests and ensure code quality and reliability.
Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills

• 5–8 years of hands-on development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python .
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases .
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django .
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development .
• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, data structures, and exception handling .
• Experience writing complex SQL queries and performing query optimization .
• Good understanding of database design, indexing, transactions, and normalization.
• Experience with Git/version control .
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
