Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Field Applications Scientist to deliver technical support and training for protein purification and chromatography solutions in South Asia. The role combines customer-facing application expertise, process development guidance, and commercial support to drive adoption of purification technologies across biopharmaceutical customers.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical support to biopharmaceutical customers for purification process development and optimization
Design and conduct resin screening, process development and troubleshooting studies for customer applications
Develop scientific relationships with process scientists and manufacturing teams at key customer accounts
Partner with sales and account teams to support pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales technical engagement
Conduct training seminars, workshops and webinars on chromatography and downstream processing technologies
Requirements
Strong technical background in downstream protein purification and chromatography processes
Experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process development, or analytical sciences
Knowledge of purification technologies including chromatography resins and filtration systems
Demonstrated ability to build scientific relationships and serve as a technical advisor
Experience with customer-facing technical support and application development
Familiarity with bioprocess development for monoclonal antibodies or recombinant proteins
