Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Field Applications Scientist to deliver technical support and training for protein purification and chromatography solutions in South Asia. The role combines customer-facing application expertise, process development guidance, and commercial support to drive adoption of purification technologies across biopharmaceutical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support to biopharmaceutical customers for purification process development and optimization
• Design and conduct resin screening, process development and troubleshooting studies for customer applications
• Develop scientific relationships with process scientists and manufacturing teams at key customer accounts
• Partner with sales and account teams to support pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales technical engagement
• Conduct training seminars, workshops and webinars on chromatography and downstream processing technologies

Requirements

• Strong technical background in downstream protein purification and chromatography processes
• Experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process development, or analytical sciences
• Knowledge of purification technologies including chromatography resins and filtration systems
• Demonstrated ability to build scientific relationships and serve as a technical advisor
• Experience with customer-facing technical support and application development
• Familiarity with bioprocess development for monoclonal antibodies or recombinant proteins
