Purchase Manager
Position Overview:
The Purchase and Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing the end-to-end procurement function. This role demands a strategic, detail-oriented professional who can build procurement processes from scratch, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely availability of materials and services critical to project success.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines to streamline procurement activities.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships and develop a reliable vendor base.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and budget adherence.
Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to avoid delays and excess holding costs.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
Lead and mentor procurement staff as the team grows in the future.
Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and cost analysis for senior management.

Requirements:
Min. 7 years of relevant procurement experience, from real estate, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, supplier networks, and construction supply chain logistics.
Proven experience in managing procurement teams and leading cross-functional collaboration.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with procurement software/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
